São Brás Golf Society, SBGS
The São Brás Golf Society is a friendly society and we try to keep it as informal as possible. We play in alignment with the R & A Rules of Golf modified to take account of local course rules, to speed up play and make for more enjoyable golf.
Since 1st Oct 2025, the Society adopted the Squabbitgolf.com app for organizing Society events, managing handicaps, and maintaining a history of events going forward. This has made it much easier for the organisers. For the individual it provides details of upcoming events, automatic calculation of handicaps at the end of each round, personal statistics of your game and playing history, live entry of golf scores, GPS display of each hole and distances (also on Apple Watch) and much more.
Any Handicap information that was previously available on our website is now accessible via the Squabbit app. It will not be posted on our website as the Squabbit App gives a more up to date record of handicaps.
At São Brás Golf Society we keep it informal. We play to R & A Rules aligned with our local courses and speedy golf ethos.
